Trevor Noah, start writing your jokes now.
This weekend, Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson will be in Washington, DC, to attend their 2022 White House Correspondents’ dinner.
Fresh from seeing Jon Stewart accept the award for his lifetime accomplishment in comedy at the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor show on Sunday night, the lovers will return to Washington, DC, to watch the host of the dinner show, Noah, take on President Biden.
Kardashian, 41, and Davidson, 28, will be seated at ABC/Disney’s table while Kardashian’s new reality series is streaming on Hulu (part of Disney).
“I don’t think they should feel safe,” one source told me. “Trevor could turn his attention to Kim and Pete.”
This is the first time that dinner will be held in the past two years since it was delayed because of the flu.
It’s also the first time the current president has been invited to the dinner for correspondents in five years since Donald Trump refused to go during his presidency.
President Biden and first lady Jill Biden will be attending this year’s gala in the Washington Hilton Hotel.
Kardashian last attended the event in 2012, when she was the subject of jokes made by host Jimmy Kimmel and then-President Barack Obama.
“If you’re looking for the greatest threat to America right now, she’s right there,” Kimmel joked. “She’s Kim Kardashian.”
In a pre-planned, recorded part, President Obama’s voice could be heard off-stage, as if his microphone was left on by accident.
“Seriously, guys, what am I doing here?” Obama declared. “I’m the president of the United States, and I’m opening for Jimmy Kimmel? What’s the reason I’m doing knock-knock jokes with Kim Kardashian? What’s she famous for in the first place? ”
Davidson and Kardashian first came together in October 2021, just eight months after Kardashian had declared divorce from Kanye West, with whom she has four children.
